Good links have been formed between the police and community groups such as DDRA, which is crucial to effective communication. There is some excellent work going on in schools with WPC Sharon Williams as a dedicated Schools Officer. There was a police led drugs awareness and education week at Arden School which has been successful.
The Knowle and Dorridge Police Team intend to reflect local needs
and the National Police Plan by:
* Reducing overall crime
* Providing a citizen focused police service
* lmproving detection rates.
Of course we can all help to reduce crime by not making it easy for the criminals. 'Beware' is a contraction of 'Be aware' and we all need to beware of the things that help the baddies - leaving the car engine running to warm up, leaving the keys in the ignition at any time the car is unattended, even for a few seconds, neglecting simple steps to home security.
