Stop in at the Nature Museum for a visit to see fossils up close. They may not be reproduced or republished for commercial use without written permission. We are obviously having a metaphysical conversation (not simply a scientific one). I'm bringing stuff next time to trade in. Their typical size was two to eight centimeters (1-3 inches), although large trilobites up to 70 cm (27 inches) have been found. The team has made a digital image of the fossil - an ostracod (a relative of the shrimps) - which is preserved exceptionally in volcanic ash rocks in Herefordshire.
