About DDRA

This provides our contact information and background on the DDRA.

About Dorridge, Bentley Heath & Four Ashes

What is it about the area that brings people here and makes them want to stay? A look around some fine houses. Local walks with easy to navigate guides.

Walks and Cycling

Over the past couple of years we have put together some walks based in the local countryside up to around 20 minutes drive away.

Membership

Everyone who lives in our area of interest is welcome to join. We deliver the newsletter to every household in the area regardless of subscriptions being paid.

Maintaining the Centre

DDRA spend a significant amount of time working with the Council and the various landowners to keep the parts of Dorridge that we are proud of, and to encourage improvement elsewhere.

Planning Applications

DDRA follow the Solihull MBC web site to be informed of current planning applications. This section of our site discusses how we approach planning application reviews. We are very interested in local residents' opinions and welcome your support and feedback.

Tree Wardens

Dorridge and Bentley Heath are blessed with tree lined streets and verdant parks and open spaces. With this in mind, the DDRA have encouraged the formation of a local group of Tree Wardens under a scheme sponsored by Solihull Council.

Licensing

The DDRA will support local residents if they have issues with alcohol or entertainment licensing

Police

DDRA has developed a good relationship with the local police who have been innovative in developing ways of dealing with our local issues.

Roads and Transport

Road safety is an important issue, with heavy traffic passing around and through Dorridge and Bentley Heath.

Youth

DDRA is keen to provide facilities for the young of the borough. We have provided playground facilities in Bentley Heath with the help of the Council and other local organisations.
